From "Do This" to "Done".

In this powerful exploration of the Parable of the Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25-37, we're challenged to reconsider what it truly means to love our neighbor. The story reveals how easily we can rationalize avoiding responsibility, much like the priest and Levite who passed by the injured man. But it's the despised Samaritan who embodies true neighborly love, transcending social boundaries to show compassion. This parable isn't just about helping others; it's a profound illustration of our own spiritual condition. We're all like that injured man, broken by sin and in desperate need of rescue. Jesus, our ultimate Good Samaritan, comes to our aid when we're helpless. The message reminds us that while we can't perfectly keep God's law, Jesus' transformative love empowers us to extend mercy and compassion to others. It's an invitation to embrace the same selfless love that Christ first showed us, becoming His hands and feet in a world crying out for genuine neighborliness.
