The God Who Won't Give Up
In Luke 15:1-10, Jesus shares two powerful parables that challenge our understanding of God's love and grace. The stories of the lost sheep and the lost coin reveal a God who actively seeks out the lost, leaving the 99 to find the one. This radical love confronts our tendency to judge or exclude others, reminding us that every individual is precious in God's eyes. As we reflect on these parables, we're called to examine our own hearts. Are we among the 99, comfortable in our faith but perhaps judgmental of others? Or are we the lost one, yearning to be found? The message urges us to adopt God's perspective, celebrating with unbridled joy when even one person turns back to Him. It's a powerful reminder that God's love knows no bounds, and that our mission as believers is to embody that same relentless, seeking love in our communities.
