Pastor Travis is passionate about preaching and teaching Jesus Christ.
He holds a Master of Arts in Bible & Theology.
He is married, and has 3 adult children, and 2 in-home aged children. His wife Lindsey is the director the Solid Foundations Childcare at this church. He loves time with family and the Detroit Tigers and is a lifelong fan of the Rocky movies. 

The Finance Committee is responsible for gathering annual budget requests from all committees of First UMC and preparing a balanced proposed budget for approval at the annual Charge Conference. In consultation with the Treasurer, the committee oversees the financial health of the church throughout the year and keeps the Administrative Board informed, while ensuring that Sunday morning offerings are collected and cared for properly and that all resources are managed with accountability and good stewardship.

The Worship and Music Committee supports the pastors and music staff in creating a meaningful worship experience for all. The committee recruits and supervises ushers, greeters, and communion servers for the first Sunday of each month, assists the communion stewards as needed, and oversees special activities like hymn sings and the Noisy Offering. It also encourages and develops special music for worship services and prepares and decorates the sanctuary for special seasons by changing altar cloths, arranging flowers, and decorating for Christmas. The committee submits its budget requests to the Finance Committee, and its chairperson, or a representative, attends monthly board meetings to report and vote.
