What Matters Most?

What if the busyness of our lives is quietly crowding out what matters most? That is the question at the heart of this message, which takes us to a pivotal moment in Matthew's Gospel where a legal expert tries to corner Jesus with a question about the greatest commandment. Instead of getting drawn into a debate, Jesus cuts straight to the core: love God with everything you have, and love your neighbor as yourself. These two commands, drawn from Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18, are not just rules to follow but a framework for an entire life. Everything else in Scripture, every law, every instruction, hangs on these two. We are invited to ask ourselves honestly what is actually driving our daily decisions. Is it comfort, approval, control, or success? Or is it love for God? This message challenges us to let that love reshape not just our Sunday mornings but our Monday choices, our Thursday frustrations, and every moment in between.
