A Season of Thankful Hearts

Nov 20, 2025    Pastor Travis Voeltz

A season of thankful hearts. We have so much to be thankful for.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever” (Ps 107:1).

We're celebrating something simple but powerful: grateful hearts. This Psalm reminds us that we give thanks not because everything is perfect, but because God is good, and His love never stops.

That love stays steady no matter what season we’re in—joyful, heavy, or a little chaotic. And if you’re around kids, you know those seasons can switch fast.

Gratitude isn’t just a feeling; it’s something we practice. And our kids learn it by watching us—how we talk about our blessings, how we pause to thank God in everyday moments, and how we trust God even when life Last night, these young ones didn’t just perform. They reminded us of what Jesus loved about childlike hearts: they notice blessings we miss, find joy in small things, and help us slow down and see God’s goodness right in front of us.

As we went downstairs for supper, we held onto that Psalm.

God is good. His love endures. And we always have a reason to give thanks.

Huge thanks to Lindsey, the Solid Foundations staff, the kids and their families, and our church family.
